JOURNEY OF SELF
JOURNEY OF SELF is a 5-part photo series that follows a path of pain and confusion, self healing and growth.
A heavy focus on colour symbolism, movement and direction in each image. Individually these images tell their own story, but all together they unite to voice the life-long cycle of hurt and love, in relation to self. I encourage an audience to digest as they please, create their own meaning while viewing.
Music was an impactful element of inspiration behind the creation of this project. Using music as a form of feeling, grieving, support and healing. It connects my own personal experiences with the lyrics that have been paired with each image, reflecting significant periods of time.
As this series was exhibited and displayed with writing included in the framing, I will include each quote underneath each image, to support the viewing experience as originally intended. The images will also be placed in their exhibited layout; a diagonal line, starting from the lower left and leading upwards to the right.
